Post by JimWalsh »

this is the second time i have asked on this forum as i have not had a clear answer, what do i need to sent to the club to obtain a dating cert.so as i can apply to dvla for an age related plate. it is no point sending a v55/5 to swansea without a dating cert from the club, regards Jim

Jim, when you contact the club’s dating officer to let them know your bike is ready they will probably want an inspection, which they will arrange. After that’s been done and assuming all is OK they will send you the dating certificate. That’s how it worked for me about six years ago, and i don’t believe it’s changed much.

Jim - that someone is the registrar (registrar@arielownersmcc.com)
Why are you not emailing him to discuss/arrange?

Jim
Bennet does the dating certs and DVLA verification, only he knows what he (or the Club) needs.
What's the unresolved issue? Is it whether or not you need to have an inspection by someone from the Club?
