After consideration I'll choose the skiis, although they aren't even matching numbers! I'm roughly at 62N/25E and there's enough snow!

If only I could find proper snow chains, I should have fun :).

50N by 129W and 830 metres with a metre of snow so far so no chance of spring for another month or two. Just have to be patient and get on with the maintenance.
One bike almost done and then on to another rebuild and some heavy maintenance. Makes the winter pass well.

I remember using washing line wound around the tyres to get to work back in the 1950s - it worked well.

Took me while to work out what your photo was depicting, I thought at first it was a pint of guiness, but realised that Guiness is not usually fitted with indicators!

Wish it was a pint of Guinness :D

The day started so well,,,,, I rode out to Tillys place for a ride towards Petersfield. We had arranged to pick up with Peter just off the A32 but I'd heard it was was shut for some reason so I got hold of Peter before he left so we all met up in Ropley at a petrol station instead. So far so good.
Arriving into the garage a car pulled in with us and began chatting with Peter who was already there waiting for us. we got off our bikes and walked over to see what's going on. Peter at first when called over towards the car driver was wondering what excuse he could offer to explain some dubious riding we had must have done, as the lady driver looked quite stern. But no. She was a lovely lady who said something had fallen off one of our bikes and had followed us towards the garage. So we began a good look over our bikes to see what was missing. Nothing AWOL on my bike that I could see. Tilly was going over his bike very carefully trying to see what could have fallen off. Nothing was immediately apparent to him until he shouted, MY TOPBOX!!!.
So without any hesitation we were off and found it a mile back down the road only suffering some slight road rash. What a lovely lady for taking the time to let us know.
A good quantity of cable ties later we were back on the road, this time with Tilly leading with Peter and myself following first and second slip respectively :D
