Wanted: WNG pannier rack

Post by admin »

I got my last rack from John Budgen, who no longer supplies.
Cornucopia also had a few, but no longer

Is there a manufacturer of the racks ?
I can get the supporting bracketry from Draganfly and the pannier frames and bags are also available.

Hello John, I have the frame from Burney. actually I dont know if it is original.
It's made from solid rod, are they always like that ?
Does not look difficult to copy if you have a sturdy vice and some welding equip.
Only snag is that I have a chronical lack of time ...............

The rack mounted on my W/NG looks exactly the same as shown on both photographs.
It is made of solid bar, and the thickness of the bar measures aprox. 1/2'' for the main frame and 9/16'' for the welded on supports.

Seems to be a market for newly made copies. I am also looking for either an original rack or a copy.

I have a newly made W/NG pannier rack for sale which I bought at Stafford last October. The seller had a range of racks on sale and said this was made to an original pattern. My plan was to modify it in order to fit Craven panniers to my Square or RH500. Having spent some time working out what needs to be done, and what the end result will look like, I have reached the conclusion that I am better using my pair of throwover panniers. Hence the W/NG rack is now surplus to requirements. It cost me £75. Would anyone care to re-imburse me, and pay the postage if necessary?
