Well have you ever seen this: a W/NG on the bonnet of a willys jeep!

The jeep has one headlight but that is not the most interesting thing about the picture. Why is the soldier wearing shorts? Would love to know what everyone is saying.

Maybe the boy scout wanted to look like Baden-Powell, Haarlem was liberated by the Canadians... :D

I thought it might be a young Vincent with his Bowie knife, thinking if I don't let go the bikes mine :D

Thanks Steve ! dont think it's wise to carry my Bowie knife like that today.
Here's some more, you can see at least one W/NG, rider sits almost on top of the tank.

Those halftracks are still in use here in the village to bring things to the beach, there where 27 in 1980 but 20 are taken apart or sold, so 7 are still going round.
New tracks are made in Israël where they are also still in use.

If interested i can do a war tour here on the thursday before the rally.
