Thanks nev for the info and offer, very kind of you.
I Will try find/make one a little closer to home first , fingers X’d I’ll get lucky .
Hopefully someone has a broken or damaged gearbox that they are willing to sell for parts.

You could match a newly manufactured gear to the other you have is it's the correct one. There's more than one ratio to choose from The actual screw (worm) is easy to make (Relatively) It's just a multi start thread. Making just ONE is costly per unit. The case also suffers from thread damage on both the cable end thread and the one that goes into the brake plate. I would suggest replacement ones be done in bronze like many tacho drives are. IF my experience is anything got go by these parts are in demand/ scarce/ and overpriced.. Nev
