Chaps,
Have any of you raised the gearing on your W/NG? I need to replace the rear chain shortly and was toying with raising the gearbox sprocket a tooth or two...

Re: Gearing
I changed the driving gear in the CP for a 30T main and a 20 T small
WN/G and VCH have 32T and 18T .
No changes in the rest.

Re: Gearing
HI The bigger the rear sprocket it will lower the top speed but you will get away quicker if you need it to go faster go up on the gearbox sprocket or smaller on the rear sprocket
Re: Gearing
I have two WNG's on the military/trials gearing, i.e. big jump between 3rd and 4th, and one where I changed it.

(32T and 18T to 30T and 20T).
It makes a big difference, but I'll only do it when I have to change the gbox sprockets on the other two.
Engine sprocket is (per the WNG workshop manual) 18T but they'll pull a 19T easily as standard
Post war 350's are 20T but are less revvy with 21T - so if you've upgraded your WNG to post war 350 internals , then a larger engine sprocket 9for road use) is a good idea.
