That sounds like a good plan Rudy. Yours will probably be on the road before mine!

Did we see that listed on ebay recently? I guess you have added the oil filter since you bought it?

I think the photo was one of the scam listings.

No, unfortunately not. I think the pictures from the listing you must have bought from were reused by one of the scammers recently.
cheers

Hi Rudy
Nice looking bike - and welcome!
I see you might have already worked out how to fit that BM front wheel, if you're going to use spacers on the BMW spindle would you be able to post the dimensions? (I've got one of those wheels as well, that might need to arrive on the Ariel full-width hub front end...)

Hi Simon,

first, you take a BMW axle (there are some with 14 mm or 17 mm diameter-depends on the model of the brake that you take). Mine had a 17mm axle.

Then you cut this axle to the length of the Ariel axle. You may have to turn off a part of the collar on the nearside (N/S) . The thread is on the offside(O/S).

Then you turn the two spacers according to the drawing. Choose your diameter D. Maybe you have some other length measures (brake model dependent.)

Then you weld the spacer on the N / S with the axle and drill the hole. The spacer on the other side remains loose, it also replaces the washer under the nut.

You farther use the original spacer in the brake between the plate and the bearings.

You now can centralize the weel by the nut on O/S and the clamp on N/S.

Excuse the quick and dirty drawing.

Rudy:
Many thanks for the info on the mods for the BM front wheel - that'll make it a lot easier for me!

So, old mazak pump is out, new Morgo has been fitted. But :o  :? there is no breather pipe installed. Do Mk II's not have this :?: My owner and workshop manuals don't show this. How is the routing of this pipe, when needed? Morgo says it is fitted to the pump.
