Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C
They are wonderfull Karol!
Made a pair of T-bars today
Surprisingly (or maybe not.. ) the small one took me three times before I grasped that I first had to drill the T bar hole and then the threaded hole Haha, what fun I have with my woodworking approach
speaking of woodworking....and how about this contraption :
M16 bolt with a pukka Red Hunter valve spring holding the kickstart case down.
just enough movement to re-cut that small ridge after a sloppy welding repair.

Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C
first question in the new year !
What is the function of the 'furrow' at the rear of the '28 timingcase?
It looks like making a oil mist tight seal rather complicated.
Anyone have a picture or image of the seal that should be there? (I suppose there should be one..)

Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C
I don't know what it's for either, but the top-down photograph of the magneto in my 1928 Model C shows there isn't much room there. The magneto fits find, but perhaps it was needed for clearance with a Magdyno(?).
As for a seal, I don't have one there and had no problem because there is (or should be) no oil in that chamber. However, I describe somewhere in my Britbike thread how I made an X-ring seal holder to replace the leather "seal" on the crankshaft that was supposed to keep oil from the timing case from leaking into that chamber.
