Oh dear....
One really should have changed the sprocket BEFORE the hub was re-laced into a painted stainless rim....

Hi Roger. Unless you're hauling a DA sidecar, plus pillion and luggage, I wouldn't worry about it. You still have 90 percent of the original strength in the fixings. Just refrain from pulling too many wheelies.
Cheers, Chris.

Use a couple of 'thick' washers.

Re: Oh dear....
Acme Stainless produce suitably longer bolts and nuts as a repair when
the thread in the hub is damaged and I would recommend them to you.
As recounted elsewhere I have used them successfully with my HS.
I suspect that the damage you have was caused by accident or mis-handling
of spanners rather than a failure in use. The loads on the bolts are at 3 o'clock
and 9 o'clock as one accelerates or brakes.

Re: Oh dear....
Thanks all for your comments - close inspection implies the damage was done many yonks ago...
nowt wrong with the other 9... & the fit is such that the shouldered bolt still picks up on the thread.
Am probably gonna leave as is - but keep a weather eye...
if worst comes to worst it might get spot welded in situ.
Cheers All
