Correct front hub/brake plate for w/ng

Post by stevewhitt »

Can someone verify that I have the correct parts for a 1944 wn/g please?

The brake cam is very lose in the bearing. I see the club has a replacement cam, but not the bearing. I am wondering if the old bearing could be sleeved to take up the slack?

it looks o.k. to me.
the brake spindle holder is a easy part to make.
sleeving the original one is tricky as the thing itself is rather thin.
You dont want it snapping off :)
Making a new one from larger diameter + a bronze sleeve will last you out.
