Hi fellow members,
can anyone advise, is there such a thing as a workshop manual for my 1958/59 HT5?
Is this the kind of thing the club might sell? Or where to buy?
Does anyone have any technical sheets? I heard there was a technical area devoted to HT5 on our website but I can’t find it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
My thanks
Ian

As far as I know there's no technical manual for the HT models, the mechanics (and a lot of the cycle parts) are essentially the same as the road bikes.
To find the official differences I'd advise looking at the singles spares books (as in the on-line library) and noting which parts are designated specifically for the HT.
However, a lot of these bikes were customised with 'non-standard' parts by their owners (including Sammy Miller) and you may need to make allowances!
There are some HT articles in the on-line library, there's no specific 'HT' sections as such.
For a really good insight into 'what goes on' in the HT world (and details of some of the factory bikes) the following is a must. However note that the interests are trials bikes, not exclusively Ariels - you might need to do a bit of nosing around. The link will take you to an article on Sammy Miller's 'reserve' HT.
