I've not used my Mk1 on anything but unleaded but I happily use whatever else
in available in the singles. I've noticed two things: I get fewer miles to the gallon
and they seem less sensitive to the ignition lever setting. Whatever I do use I
make a point of draining both tank and carburettor if the bike will be standing
for more than a day or two.

Another question with regard to the cutting out problem with your bike. Have
you done anything to the carburettor which might have started this problem off?

There have been new parts put in but the bike was going really well before this latest spat of problems. I think I need to look at some kind of dry storage or sealed bag to put the bike in over winter. Anyone else use this sort of thing in their garage?

Just a thought is there an insulating spacer on the carby to the head to prevent vapor lock? If it suppose to have one, then does it?

Cheers
