Hi can anyone help, I am in the process of restoring my 1959 HT5 which has been in storage for aprox 60 years, so many questions to ask. But for now can anyone tell what oil I should for the forks and what quantity each fork leg.
would be much appreciated for any help.

Assuming it's still got the original forks they are the same as the road-gong Ariel
forks so 'engine oil' to within 17" or 18" of the top of the forks. I use straight 30
oil.

hi i use a 30 w oil or a A T F auto gearbox oil, and welcome to the forum and the AOMCC

Preferably use an anti foaming oil. Tractor universal transmission oil is fine as it's for hydraulics and has anti rust additives. Been using it for years and not expensive. Nev
