hi Pete, try Geoff Brown the clubs gearbox man he is very good and i know he had new corks made for the clutches

If they are bonded plates you will have to replace the plate as well.geoff can supply new plates and corks to go with them.
I run all my bikes(Even the sq4) with cork plates as it makes a lighter clutch action and less noise

Nh all sorted thanks for all the advice ,just done a 50ml run through the Black mountains ran really well one more question is the back mudguard on the nh peculiar to this model or will others fit previous to me someone has cut a bit off

All swing-arm mudguards are interchangeable, there are some differences between years but it doesn't affect interchangeability (for example I think 1954 had a back half that extended slightly lower towards the ground, but it's all still fully interchangeable).
It looks to me like you'll need the full mudguard (the main piece and the removable back part) - what you've got there doesn't look Ariel.
