Hi there
I got a couple of crankshafts included in the purchase of my Huntmaster and was wondering if anyone could confirm the labels on them for me as I don't have the knowledge to be sure of selling them on with the right labelling, any help would be gratefully received
First is labelled as an Ariel KH500 Twin, no other details as to year or bike model

There's a piece on the different KH cranks in the Members' Knowledgebase section of the AOMCC website (plug for Club membership!).
I think there have been some questions on the Forum too, so a Forum search might divvy-up some info also.

The flywheel looks like from a later, heavier KH crank
But first picture should show the oil holes looking at you, with the second pair oil holes on the other side.
Earlier cranks have one oil hole per bigend facing down when the crank is in the position like on the first pic.
Possibly a earlier crank with a later flywheel ?
edit; also sludge bung is the smaller earlier type

Both are indeed KH cranks.
I actually don’t know all of the nuances with these, but they are pretty interchangeable regardless of mode year as far as I am aware.
