Website - new piccies on web pages a-coming...

Post by admin »

After spending some time checking through the Sales Catalogues (in the online library) I thought it would be nice to use some more of the artwork.

So, there will be some changed (and some extra) images on the website 'home' page and the members' area main page within the next few days!

Also, the 'Take me to the Members Area' page will be tweaked so that both the 'Members Only Website' text and the Cheval page image go into the members' area (as well as the text at the bottom of the page) - hopefully making it slightly easier moving between 'AOMCC home' and 'AOMCC members area'.

Thanks guys - high praise indeed from someone who's done some of the previous work (Dave B.)!

It's good to see the site is evolving as there are so many bike web resources which are static. It's years since the online library was first put together in 2007 (with Brenton Roy) with enthusiastic encouragement from John Mitchell and for years it was looked after very well by John Nash who added much more content as it came his way, and now it's in your good hands to take it further.

I'm surprised the Cheval list still works as it was written in C# but I guess it may have been been ported to PHP or similar (ditto the knowledgebase).

The only section which has not been added to is the ArielDrome which is ripe for creative flair for anyone with the time and enthusiasm, maybe something for the future.

Most other old bike clubs have been slowly catching up with us but I can't think of any which have as much online resource so we are still way ahead of the curve.

Cheval list and Knowledgebase are indeed now PHP.

That just leaves the Goatshrine . . .

It's buried/hidden in ArielDrome, which I think is a Dave B. production - might be why Dave B. suggests (above) ArielDrome needs some creative flair!
