Do not disturb !

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

Recently I asked several suppliers for a few parts.
Among them was Cornucopia in Germany.
It took them a few days before the answer came .
In the meantime I had found the parts with a local supplier.
I could have chosen not to react on Cornucopia's offer (which often happens to me after sending a estimate),
but I thought it polite to let them know that I had found the wanted parts.

The reaction from Cornucopia :
Great Stuff Vincent, You know how much time it takes Will charge you double on any thing you want in the future !

I once bought a few parts from them. Didn’t really like dealing with them and probably will never go to them again. Very arrogant. Oh well, I suppose they must be making a very good business and can afford to send customers away.

An experience like that can leave a bad taste in ones mouth and I would like to say I will avoid them but if you are desperate for a part you cant , I heard last year that he was ending his business. Now the UK is out of the EU and parts are liable for extra duties I am looking for other sources for parts within the EU but it is difficult, after two disasters on ebay one Holland and the other the USA both auction purchases were cancelled by the sellers ,I am now trying to avoid ebay too if I can .

The person who send me this blunt answer is a Trevor Brown.
Found this on the website of Cornucopia, I think it was written by Peter Long ...... :

( we call him "the REVEREND TREVOR" as he thinks he is close to God ! ) In his working days ( Now retired 2008 ) he had some 500 staff to boss around. ( Strange ! some of us get the impression we are still part of the 500 )

Yes, Cornucopia website states that they are closing down.
Congratulations! they have employed the right person for the right job !
