What a fascinating selection of Ariels!
Interesting to see a couple of 650s in action, one of which still seems to be around (Dec. '53 Ariel 650cc on SORN - please come in no. 169!)

169 was Frank Wilkins and Kay with the huntmaster.
Last time I saw the huntmaster was at Simon Walton's funeral many years ago now.
Nick George had the huntmaster then and I followed it from the crematorium to to
the reception. It sounded wonderful. Nick did say that the sidecar had more-or-less
rotted completely. This surprised me a bit as Frank was a carpenter by trade.

Do you think SOE 212 was meant to be provocative? - Or had nobody heard of it then?

Re: Internationale Sechstagefahrt 1955
Thanks Will, That is nice to know. I met them once, in the restaurant of the NMM at the Centennial Rally in 1998.
A real gentleman and full of advice about anything Ariel, I still have some notes about preparing Ariels from him that he posted me later.
And about one of the other Ariels ;
On the Stilltime archive I found a picture of Bob Ray's ISDT KH SOE 212
