In Holland if you had a Puch you where the lad.
The Tomos was a licence build Puch from -then- Yugoslavia and just under it in the ranking

The frame on the orange one looks vaguely familiar :D

Time for a new front tyre, I had a ribbed one on before which was fine so I'll replace with the same.
I always have a new inner tube fitted with a new tyre but this time I'm replacing the front one with one of these thick rubber tubes.
Brighton tomorrow

The rear has one fitted which doesn't seem to loose any pressure.

Two jobs today at sheltered accommodation in Henfield and Steyning
Steyning was a pretty place

Stopped for a free coffee at a Triumph dealer, I liked this bike.

Then more tea at Tangmere Aviation Museum & Cafe and found another Helicopter

Not sure what helicopter it was Paul.

I've got the new tyre fitted.

Well I've had a day of it today. First job was at Blandford Brewery, I'd forgotten to take a picture so here's pic from their website

When I arrived, my clutch seemed strange. So I adjusted it at the lever. But I still wasn't completely happy.
I've a friend Mick who lives in Verwood who'd just came home from holiday so I stopped off for some maintenance and tea

We go back a few years, it was a trip on the back of his bike to Ireland that got me into bikes and Ariels. Yes I know, it's all his fault :D
Mick was heading back to Eastleigh so we both left at the same time, I left first and luckily, very luckily he left shortly afterwards in his van. I'd got as far as the Ringwood bypass and the bike died!! I'm thinking my lucks in on this breakdown :D and sure enough I saw him coming at me in the outside lane doing around 70 officer. He'd just saw me in time and stopped further up the road.
It's fixed now. Pretty sure it was the coil. New one now fitted.

Back to Griffin hovercraft first then a small job at Southampton General hospital.
Last job today was in Egham at a primary school.
It dawned on me that I was close to Ascot and the home of Eric Patterson. He came down to the Hampshire branch to give us a talk on his Bonneville Salt Flats adventures, very enjoyable. He'd got a pair of boots that needed some repairs. Thus ever thoughfull of breaking down near him one day I offered to repair them :D

He broke some records at Bonneville with this bike

But not this bike
2016-02-25 13.25.33.jpeg
Or this piston and valve :D
