Can someone explain the interior of the Toolbox on the 1928 please.
What are the pieces of leather arrowed?
I have drawn up two sketches that I think might explain possible reason for them but I need confirmation please.

For my understanding, is that a complete self contained leather box inside the metal box? Or is it just a leather 'front', with some sort of lining loosely fitted behind?

it only has a front and a side. The inner parts are still lined with hard paper and everything is riveted to the cover
