Mk 2 Royal Enfield brake conversion

Post by KevinOToole »

The Royal Enfield 2LS brake I fitted to my Mk2 Sq4 is working well. So It's time to look at making it look prettier.
My son has drawn up and printed a MK2 torque arm. I tried in place and it fits well. I just need to make one out of aluminium, and replace the mild steel items with stainless steel.

Nice work!
You may well find that there is a market for the conversion parts.... ;)

I know from experience, with enfields, that this is a seriously good brake on them.

Does it fit into a half width hub ?
It looks like your torque arm is for the full width stuff ?

Make sure you fit it on the left side or you'll end up with a twin TRAILING shoe! :)
