Yes. Plenty of empty areas with no-one even close. Luckily staying on west coast and not next to the eastern border...

HS has a very small petroltank and uses much more petrol.

The HSMkI cam was a cast one, all other cams including the HS MkIII cam (which is hollow) are made from steel.
If it is possible / allowed to take the timing cover away + oil pump you could / should be able to see if it has a cast or a steel camshaft.
