I've got reservations about Hagon's spring recommendations. I let them fit their 'recommended' springs when they built a pair of shocks for my swing-arm. Even with minimum damping and pre-load they're as hard as nails (and I'm someone who generally prefers 'firm' settings)!

Paul,
It's worth bearing in mind that Ariel produced supplementary springs for the
Arrow and Leader 'If loads greater than 26 stone were to be carried'.

Both Arrow and Leader can wallow a bit at the back even without a load
that large.

Dave,
I've previously had a response from Hagon Shocks. They do not appear to stock them or make specials like they used to.
Hello Trevor,
Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately we are unable to supply any replacement shock unit for this model from our product range.
Kind regards

Hagon Sales Team

Meanwhile, I am looking at Honda or Vespa shocks. The Vespa-Piaggio rear shocks are looking good so far, available on Fleabay ebay.co.uk/item/325140313124
or www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373889734945
Shame they are not shrouded
