Johnny,

Good shout. I found a sprocket on ebay today but no success with the sprocket puller. Until I get a puller I can't get the cam sprocket off.

Johnny,
I saw that SJ Engineering are out of stock on ebay so I gave up but I will give your suggestion to contact them directly a go.

I called SJ Engineering and a very nice chap said that they do not make the puller and they have had a back order with their supplier from some months.
I have found only two potential suppliers for a mag sprocket puller; one in Australia at some exorbitant price and one in Austria at about 25 Euros for the puller and 25 Euros postage. Still, if anyone is desperate they claim to have four in stock (British Only Austria).

Johnny,
That is very kind of you. I have removed the sprocket so I do not need the puller for now. I am going to continue to look for one on line because I will need a puller if I have to re-time the mag to the engine.

I find it better to free the camshaft sprocket for the timing adjustment and leave the magneto sprocket on it's taper There's no good way of holding the magneto armature when the sprocket's freed from it. and the camshaft taper is a much larger diameter. Nev

Nev,
Thanks for that. It had not occurred to re-set the timing that way. However, I will still need a puller for the camshaft pinion.
