CC on crankcase makes that part 1937 but top end is enclosed, so there you go....

Well, it does have a pair of new exhaust pipes and silencers :mrgreen:

That petrol tank doesn't seem to have the badge mounting strip but it's clearly not a WD one - is that right for pre-war?

Could be immediate post war tank. I saw a VH and a 4G with similar lack of badge bar in Germany recently, both were 1946 machines
Roger Gwynn, Membership Secretary, curator of the Machine Register and the works drawings. Director of Draganfly Motorcycles, Craven Equipment and Supreme Motorcycles mostly retired.

On the other hand, if the engine, frame and gearbox are matching and genuine belong to each other it’s a good start for nice 1937 VH. Yes it’s quite some money. Enclosed valves are wrong for that vintage, but very practical…
