hi i thought a 1956 sq4 would have had a swinging arm and not a plunger rear end all the 53 54 on ariels i have got swinging arms :?: :?:

Ariel retained the plunger suspension on the Square Four right to the end, although they did build two prototype swinging arm bikes, one with Leader style forks. The first production run of swinging arm squares was by the Healey brothers who made only 12 machines. The bigger production run has been by AOMCC members who have made, I suspect, well over 30 and possibly more by now.
