Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C

Question:

New main for the Q box has both sides sealed.
My intention is to leave them both in.
But would there be a advantage to take the one on the inside out ?
The housing reaches over the seal but perhaps some grease would find it's way ?

Re: Inlet valve wanted for 1929 OHV Model F 'Black Ariel'

Maybe this is of help ?

I will sell valves usable for Ariel 1927 - 31, they need to be shortened to the required length. They probably come from BMW kopia no. 80

Re: I might have found an HT3

Same here and not miserable at all ! The note that the HT3 was 100% original at first does make me scratch my head as why it got restored back to new. Have you seen the pictures of the show in Brno? Most Ariels unrestored showing their age and straight from the road, some over 90, almost 100 years, ...

Re: Hymn to the 1928 Model C

Nev, Adrie, I posses an old British soul, meaning that my solution is going round in search of a problem. Yes, oil contamination can present a problem. I plan to construct small shields, partly attached to the outrigger plate and partly attached to the inside of the steel prim.chancase. (yes, ...

Re: Wanted front Altette horn bracket (6155-35)

Hello Pete, Well....I am not sure! I suppose it is fixed in the hole next to the saddle spring lug, the one for the rear mudguard bracket. A very clever spot! because I never hear my own horn when it's up front  :? At the nearside I think one should use a 'flat' horn bracket with a spacer beh...

Horn up front only works with a girder, but I guess you know that ?
