If it leaks on the cable joint (from alluminium to plastic coating) you can cure this problem by fitting a piece of heath shr...

Very nice project Vincent!

Single sludge pipe

I’am dismanteling a crank shaft from a november 1939 VG and did take out the sludge pipe (yes it came out quite straight foreward…) whats the use of the small pipe? Left one is an item I bought new from Draganfly, right one the original.

Any thoughts?

Re: Oil carry over- SQ4

Cam, I’am not a SQ expert, but as you mention over oiling ‘upstairs’ realy can be a problem with a SQ. You might find some topics on this issue on this forum. The oil pressure of 55>60 psi when running sounds not bad. Keep in mind that new rings do take quite some mileage for bedding in due to the q...

Re: Magnetic particle pickups.

I'am suprised the magnets still catch small metal(!) particles... and if thats the case it looks like a good addition to a cartridge filter!

Re: Magnetic particle pickups.

John, I wonder if this is in combination with a spin-on or cartridge oil filter?

Re: Vch replica

That is looking great Lee! I see you've also got the setup for the speedo which only was in use for a very short period!
