FOR SALE : Ariel SQ4

Just had a call from a chap called Roger Fellows. He has a SQ4 for sale. It was his fathers and he now has it. He thinks its a 58, although he would need to check the V5 to be sure. Its not been ridden for 5 or 6 years and currently is a non-runner, although he thinks he could get it going with an h...

1920 Ariel

I have a 1920 Ariel basket case (pics here http://forum.arielownersmcc.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=66 ) My plan is to fit drum braked wheels as I'd like to make the bike more useable, and am thinking about using 21" wired rims as this is as close as I can get to it looking right without using ...

Amal list a 160 mainjet for a 1946 VB (276 carb) - I'd think that would be a good place to start.

Can't help with a diagnosis Michael but if you don't find any help here (its a relatively young forum and membership is growing) then maybe try the Leaders and Arrows Yahoo Group here:- http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/arielarrowandleadergroup/ But if you do, please point them to this forum. the mor...

Wheels

I'm looking for a front and rear wheel, drum braked, 21" wired rims, preferably WM1, cosmetically they can be challenged cos I intend to powdercoat.

What have you got?

Thanks Knud. I've actually found an elbow fitting that will go on the threaded bit sticking out of the timing cover. I seem to recall it was on there when I got the pile of bits which formed my 1928 Ariel starter kit.

Thanks Pete. I'll be using the 5 stud cases with a four stud barrel. So just blank the fifth stud (between the pushrods)?

Single Cylinder Crankcases

I have a 1951 VH engine (prefix RB, which is 1951) with some damage to the crankcases. I also have a set of VB crankcases (prefix MC, which is 1956). Is there any reason why I couldn't use the VB crankcases for the VH engine? The main difference I can see is the RB cases are 4 base studs, the MC one...
