j.coleman wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:24 pm Hi, I am going to Stafford hoping for wheels too, but would be happy to share with you Tony, and Hans Linden. I will email Hans to let him know Vincent. Am still making parts for him!
Hans is your man - I'm asking for him. If you could hook (or hoek...) him up than that would be grand.

You'll have to cut a slot in the brakeplate for the anchor, and faff about with mudguard stays to clear the now-in-the-way brake arm, but it is possible and once painted black its not obvious. The later brake will be far better than the 28 brake...

The last one I had done was completed in under ten days Dennis. Keep ringing them, and if you have no joy - email your MP.

Re: DVLA registration request very slow

Thanks for the replies. It seems I have to wait patiently. What irks me is the threatening tone of an email from the DVLA which said something to the effect that I have to tax the vehicle or SORN it or face the consequences. Interesting given that I do not have a registration number yet and as I am...

Re: Type 6 Carb Fuel Height

Roger Gwynn wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 10:36 am Yes, it took me ages to find it and correcting it on my VA made a lot of difference. It should be at the top of the union nut (big one on the bottom of the mixing chamber)
When you say `at the top' Roger, do you mean the top of the threaded bit that screws onto the carb body?

Type 6 Carb Fuel Height

Can someone confirm exactly what the fuel height should be in a 76 or 276 carb please (I'm assuming both would be the same - maybe they are not...). I've searched the archives and found various answers - just below the jet block, just below the top of the needle jet, just below the air screw - all s...
