Huntmaster side stand spring

I've just fitted the side stand to my 1957 Huntmaster but can't see an obvious place to hook the other end of the return spring to. Could anyone give me a steer? Thanks, Frank

Re: Wanted-front mudguard for 57/58 Huntmaster

Hello Michael, I'm interested! I've left you a voicemail but if you could give me your home address I'll get a cheque in the post. Alternatively, I could do a bank transfer that would save you time in trailing to the bank.

Thanks, Frank

Wanted-front mudguard for 57/58 Huntmaster

The front mudguard from the Huntmaster I'm restoring is beyond repair. I know it is a long shot, but does anyone have one for sale? Contact Frank on 07709 936436 or email f.p.beevers@gmail.com..

1957 Huntmaster front stand

I'm assembling a 57 Huntmaster from several boxes of bits. It is going very well so far but I have hit a snag. I've just fitted the front mudguard and tried to fit the front stand. I find that it is too short to pass under the mudguard and up into its bolting position. I've just checked the spares b...

Re: WANTED: Huntmaster clutch parts

Thanks Paul. I'll bear that in mind. I'm doing a trial fit today to see if there are any problems before I activate lock-washers.

Re: WANTED: Huntmaster clutch parts

I've been in touch with Geoff and also had a full email from Drags. Both saying the same, that one of my centres is the slightly earlier one with tags, but they can be machined off and it is then ok for the 57/58 Huntmaster. I had it in the four-jaw on my Myford this afternoon and the job is done. N...

Re: WANTED: Huntmaster clutch parts

Thanks for cheering me up, Johnny. I know what they can be like. 20 odd years ago I needed new shells for my Square 4. They took just over a year to get them.

Re: WANTED: Huntmaster clutch parts

Just checked ebay and picked up the chainwheel with no bother. Thanks for the post! Just need the centre now. Drags have the right ones, but are to order, i.e. months and cost an arm and a leg.
