Yes--i read that on Drags page on w/ng bikes--but it has the place to put one (hole down the middle of the steering assembly)--so it just stays open i guess. FYI--this bike is black--not repainted--so it may be from orders that went to other dept's than Army, Navy etc. (from R. Gwynn info) i can't find any underlying green or brown paint. it's for sure a W/NG--apparently from Burma during the war (Myanmar now) then to California-then Langley BC and final...

thanks for the info. so it's a 4 plate clutch vs 3 plate as normal NH? I've done quite a bit of transmission work on my NH so am familiar to some degree. i have a spare trans actually which i need to finish off-it's a 1950 from an NH--i needed the speedo drive spindle and had to buy the whole transm...

very late reply--but thanks for the feedback. i'm actually looking for another ariel project as this one (1950 NH) is more or less "done" (if that's ever possible)

Got a complete brake pedal with short rod--was hoping to use it on my NH to clear the LH pipe--won't work-

1950 NH Tail-lamp wiring route
I'm having trouble finding where the wiring harness goes to get to the tail-lamp-stop-lamp at the back of the flip-up fender on a 1950 NH rigid. Can someone give me some direction--i find photos on - line that show no wiring on top of the fender or on the sides of the fender or fender stays.
