i have beaded edge [clincher] tyres on my little old flat tanker , they do need to be pumped up hard to stay on the rim or else theyll come off , over 40psi is needed . they are not very good in the wet going round bends at speed and can slide . i cant go very fast on my bike , say 20mph max really ...

if you are going to put a tank sealer in and have put wd40 in there i would make sure you fully clean tank first with gunwash , cellulose thinners , so its oil free and make sure its dried out . i have used carswell in a fibreglass tank which was good and still is good 5 years after but i must admit...

i would guess they dont need de-coking very often these days due to the fuel being unleaded and containing less carbon , plus has more alcohol in than a cider lolly. . many old bikes ran as rich as the pub landlord back in the day and no one bothered much about fuel economy when petrol was dirt chea...
