Re: Tin chaincase gasket material

The original was in cork but you will need a close grain cork sheet as the usual stuff sold for floor tiles etc will be too course to make small holes in. It is possible to buy sheet cork, model railway shops sell it for use as track underlay, though probably a bit thin. Alternatively run the case d...

Look up the part number on the Draganfly site, most have the thread size listed.

Re: cylinder to head mating question - w/ng

Where are these chamfered edges? The seal is on the top of the spigot or the top of what would be a liner if there was one. There should be a small gap twixt the head and cylinder surfaces where the bolts go through. You may have a later cylinder and an early head. The diameter of the spigot was red...

Re: 1951 KH 500 Refurbishment

1952 models did not have chrome on the tank, which was dropped in February 1951, supposedly due to the lack of nickle caused by the Korean war which was, what would now be called false news. There is no mention of colour in the despatch books, looks like a Dulux colour!

Re: 1957 Huntmaster tank knee pads

Solder and 3/16 tube not 1/4. Can re-use fittings but need to clean them well first, brake cleaner, ultra-sonic bath, dishwasher et al. New fittings are available at Draganfly as well as pipe if you want to make or repair your own.

Re: Securing bolt or screw / lower chain guard

Yes, it is case screw with Whit nut and no thread in the inner case. On Draganfly's web site under chainguards they helpfully list all the fastenings for each and every chainguard, no doubt in the vain hope that people will appreciate the time and effort spent in researching the parts and will buy p...

Re: New 'Red Dot' Ammeters now available

This is a new item that has just been manufactured by Wassells so there should not be any delay in supply and many dealers will have them.
