Although I have only used it in the (Wife's) car so far, I'm very pleased with my TomTom "Start 25", especially for the way it gets me through those badly signed Motorway junctions. If anyone else has one, is there a way to select an audible warning when exceeding the speed (revenue) limit...

I think you are on the right track Dave, I would double check both valve clearances and make sure that the exhaust valve lifter is well clear of the rocker when the lever is "off". Ignoring the lifter, if you gently find compression with the kickstart, how well then does the kickstart supp...

Re: Lowering a Huntmaster

Hi Neil, These swinging arm Ariels are lovely, comfortable and handle well, but by lowering would you not run into serious ground clearance problems when trying to go round corners? Mind you, if you are used to a lowered HD who knows? The standard Dualseat is quite thick and well endowed with sponge...

Hi John, I had a Child+Adult chair like that on rigid VH in 1972!! With a 19T engine sprocket it really went quite well, about as good as an NH solo, which is hardly surprising. In case anyone knows what I'm on about (Pip?) it was a Legge engine, with his wondrous plain big end conversion, it had to...

Hope you have a great time over here, please remember London is just another city, the rest of the UK is really something special, so if you can, get out there and have look around, anywhere, except the tourist traps!

I found thread gauge set on ebay, new for £2.99 inc P&P, and it arrived this morning!
It's OK ,not Moore and Wright quality but perfectly seviceable, and accurate.
I can now confirm what you already know from Pete, it is 3/8 BSF.

Hi Rob, Just dug out a spare Mag. I'm pretty certain that the thread is not CEI/BSC/26tpi. If it is 20tpi is probably BSF. Now, I can't find my thread gauge since we moved house, so I just ordered a new one, I'll give you a proper answer next week. Or you could ask Tony Cooper or Drags who will prob...

Ariel Trials Outfit

Hi,
I just searched "sidecar outfit" on ebay and up came an Ariel Trials outfit, the engine looks as if it's an Ariel bottom end with an AMC top half, it would be interesting to hear what others have to say about this which I think is Q.I.
