Re: Crankshaft bushes / oil pressure issues

I agree with Paul, not sure if metallic epoxy would fix it but it might be worth a try, or perhaps a lower temp ali brazing product like lumiweld when you could put a dummy bush in place and braze around irt Welding would likely cause distortion and require re-machining and o/s o.d. bush

Ouch!

Well that was a bit unexpected, another trial run on the KH500 trying to sort the jetting out and coming back into the village it picked up an iron spike through the front tyre, and immediately got into a violent swerving and intermittent massive tank slapper routine. I managed to avoid the oncoming...

Re: Petrol shelf life

Struggling to start my KH with old fuel, I drained the cloudy looking petrol from the carb, and couldn't ignite it on some adjacent waste ground until I used a gas torch, when it burned a bit like diesel oil, no volatility at all. added fresh petrol but still no start, I expect the pilot jet is bloc...

Re: Odd Looking Cam Followers.

Re: Oil pressure on a KH500

Sounds about the same as mine. I run the rocker feed from the return side line before an oil filter I have fitted immediately before the return to the tank. I run SAE40 Detergent oil, and have a Brie Tie anti wet sumping valve in the feed line from the tank. My guess is the timing side and big end c...

Put loctite on the bottom nut on the valve, trust me getting it out after it falls off is a right faff!

Re: Eddie Dow type damping on 1958 Huntmaster front forks.

I have a set in my KH. I filled the fork leg, then dropped them in far enough to be just submerged. They work very well. Make sure the valve end is thread locked, mine loosened and fell off into the fork. My magnetic pick up thingy fell in half trying to retrieve the end, , also in the fork as well,...
