Is the torque arm stud on an alloy brake plate removable?
I have the full width alloy hub and the torque arm stud is bent.
Drags do not list the stud for sale or give it a number. They do list the torque arm nut 12689-54.
I have used heat and Plus Gas with no success.

Sorry, that should be "my 1956 engine". I believe there were some changes that year that may or may not affect the compatibility of the two engines.

This ma be a long shot but I went back this week to the chap that sold me frame number 2754 (NH 350, 1956) and bought a rear number plate from him. The number plate has the registration 976 BYP on it and I wonder if that is the original registration?
I have no documents for the motorcycle.

Good advice thank you. I looked at the yokes but did not see any problem. I will mount the stanchions in the yoke before bending.
As a double check I have a spare yoke so if there is any doubt about the potentially damaged one I can check it against the 'good' one.
