Ted Woodrow's replica of Bickell's blown Square 4 is in the National Motorcycle Museum. I believe after Ted sold it at auction it travelled about a bit and changed hands until it resurfaced at an auction now listed as the original and at a much higher price. When I saw it in the NMM it was indicated...

To make adding the solder easier, original screws were tin plated I believe. For my tanks I had some screws tin plated and building the solder up into a dome worked fine.

Oil tank transfers go on the face of the oil tank, the line on the bottom one is about 1/3 of the height of the tank on prewar models. The Drain Tank transfer goes above it close to the top of the tank. You can see on this picture of my VB. The Ariel Works address label goes on top of the rear numbe...

OK, got a reply from Andrew Hawkeswell on the Facebook page. Looks like I have the assembly upside down and the large bearing with the grease nipple goes at the top. Makes more sense now.
