Re: Top end troubles

I have just received some from Draganfly and they are just over 0.002” over nominal size, not sure if these will help you?

Re: Top end troubles

Simon, I had a problem with my iron 350cc head and could not find an intentionally made oversize guide so I ended up buying a few standard items from various sources and selected the most appropriate to get the correct fit. There was only a few thou in it for me so if more you may need to get one ma...

Re: Brake lever stop bolt

Thanks Simon, it’s the correct length and diameter to fit there but I thought it would make the brake pedal position too low, obviously no so. I should have actually fitted it first so will try again. Thank you

Brake lever stop bolt

Hello, I bought a nice looking 5718-37 rear brake pedal stop bolt from Acme a while ago and tried to fit it to my 1950 NH rigid project and I cannot see where it goes and what it does. Can anyone explain or share a photo please?

Re: Square 4 big end shells

I know nothing about square fours but I saw a set of -0.002” shells on eBay earlier which the seller identified as suitable for a square four. Might be worth checking to see if they help?

Re: Kickstart bearings

I can also add that from about the same time, a felt grease/oil seal and retaining washer was added to the kickstart spindle hole in the outer case, this would not have fitted with the original longer bush.

Re: Correct way to fit wiring loom?

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I will follow Pauls idea with the loom position and cables to the dip switch etc. Didn’t think about clips under the mudguard so they must have rusted away, if they were on originally. Because I have a lifting handle and hinged mudguard I am going to try secu...

Correct way to fit wiring loom?

I am about to start wiring up my 1950 rigid NH project bike and have draped the wiring loom I bought over the frame. Is there a correct way to fit it or just how it looks best? In particular, I was thinking about these points. 1. which side of the steering head should the main loom be fitted, 2. sho...
