Hi Thomas, The info is here: http://www.barkshire.co.uk/AOMCC/Knowledgebase/ShowItem.aspx?id=245 This is from Roger at Drags and includes a scan of the relevant Ariel factory document. There is a calculator to convert inch pounds to NM or Foot Pounds here http://www.boltscience.com/pages/convert.htm...

repairing bent fins
Has anyone had a go at repairing damaged (not broken) fins on an ally motor? See Pic.
I would like to try a repair before replacing the manifold.
I assume the repair involves heat, but is there a procedure to follow?
Thanks in advance, Brenton

Re: Bike value
Hi John, I think somewhere around $4,500 AU for the bike, if it is complete. Maybe a little more? I haven't been following prices that much, but there are a couple of 500's on ebay at the moment with bids around that. I did see two Ariels for sale at Bills in Birdwood SA. Re: flange
I have uploaded what I think is the rest of the filter as supplied to us in the colonies.. Thomas' bit is in the upper left corner. I think the filter was originally intended for another use as the inside mesh is of the type used for "oilbath" filters used at that time. To be effective as ...

Hi Thomas,
I have this setup on my Mk1. I think it was a police bike in South Australia. The filter is fairly basic and I think it would be reasonably easy to make. I can take some photo's or send you a drawing if you want them. brhome@internode.on.net

Yes, Great job John - and Dave too.
It will take a bit of time for people to get used to the new format.
