Re: why Li-ion batteries are no good for motorcycles

I have been using a lithium iron (yes iron) battery in a modern Honda for some time and I have had no problem with it, charges on the bike at 14-14.2 volts and has a built in charging system to balance the cells I charge off the bike if needed with a standard battery charger but not a trickle charge...

Re: A question on ignition timing methods

I was interested in hearing the replies from those who know as I've never thought of adjusting the timing as you described, but none have been forthcoming so perhaps you are the only person to think of it.

Re: Quicker by bike ...

That's exactly what I was thinking my 2002 honda st1300 is not ULEZ exempt even though if it were 2007 it would be, exactly the same engine in both, No changes whatsoever in that time.
However my 1979 Land Rover is exempt so I'll clog up and pollute the city with that :?

Re: Basic Questions

The exhaust bracket is correct, I also had to enlarge the holes in the exhaust pipe bracket on one side, the brake linkage is on of those things that just eventually falls into place for no apparent reason, can't help with the chain adjuster as I've had no problems with mine, best of luck.

Hi David, I have one and I live near Gatwick so if it doesn't work out with Ivor no doubt we can work something out.
