Hi, The normal USB-type chargers for cars seem to work fine on 6 volts; I've used these to power my Garmin satnav and to charge my phone with no problems. They just reduce whichever input voltage they get to the correct 5 volts output for USB powered devices. :-) Cheers, Graham I tried it on a 6v b...

In you are wondering I am trying to use a Sat Nav on my VF31.
Does anyone use a 6-12 volt inverter on their bike ?
I see there’s so many available and i really haven’t got much testing time so if you have any experience of them it would be very helpful.

I think Tony is going to be the best as he’s working on 4-5 weeks at present . I’ll get it off to him tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed .i better get another bike ready just in case .

Cheers Simon and Alan I may have other probs then . Need to get this sorted as it’s off to German Rally in sept and the Mag guys seem to be very busy .

Trying to understand what’s going on in my mag, any advice welcome . The points when open have continuity between the contacts which can’t be right . If I slacken the central bolt by 1 turn then I have open an circuit . So how is this supposed to be insulated ? Picture is of the central bolt removed...
