rocker feed oil pipe VH 140-38
Push rod tubes VH 500
head bolts 4 off 3/8” x 3.00”
rocker box covers 2 off 857-38
rocker box bolts 6 long - 5/16” x 2 7/8” 2 short - 5/16” x 2 5/8”

It also look like the outer primary chain case has been painted. It is a little too perfect. Perhaps the engine case has been painted also as I see no engine number and where is the big cast ARIEL usually below the engine number? Perhaps blended out but... It is sort of a "find all of the diffe...

Thank you Paul and Alan. I have used the Blue Loctite and have been able to remove the locked nuts. I will do as suggested and use the locking tab and perhaps Blue Loctite as extra insurance. The early primary covers are difficult to source and I do not want to risk potential damage. One more questi...

Would loctite be recommended for use between the two engine shock absorber nuts in the primary drive, instead of the locking tab washer?

Wanted: Single port cast iron 500 head
I am looking for a cast iron, single port, pre/post war head, rocker boxes and push rod tubes to correctly fit a 1938 500cc engine. This would be the head having the closed valves. If anyone knows of one for sale or trade, please contact me privately. I "may" consider twin port. Thank you....
