'39 Square Four Frame

Hi All, A friend is looking for a '39 Square Four Frame. He would prefer a plunger model (frame prefix "AX") but would be interested in a rigid model (frame prefix "P") also. He purchased his project bike as a basket case but unfortunately the frame is a single model. Can anyone ...

Re:

It's on that Accounts Spreadsheet I was telling you about Paul. It's a S467/3/L, 1660 turns per mile. At least, that is correct for 1951 - 1950 should have the same speedo in the top yoke I think? Hi Simon, I presume the speedo is the same for the VH. Is that correct? What is the spreadsheet you sp...

...am I correct in saying the difference between a '29 and a '28 hub and brakeplate is that the '28 fixes the brake torque arm to the plate to the rear of the forks, sharing the same pressed drum? Does the 1930 bike use a cast drum and hub and the brakeplate has a dust cover on its outer edge?...ch...

Re: How was the Aus Ariel rally?

The 1930? with the sheep has some nice longdistance items. You can't depend on modern electronics to photograph the first of the modern Ariels. Adrie, You are very right regarding your observations of the '29 with sheep skin etc. Allan the owner, is a keen Arielist and rides this bike everywhere in...

Cool. Thanks David. You can see what I had to put up with while waiting for a reply.. Kangaroo jokes. Will be cricket next.. The VG is a beauty. Also some nice VB's. Is that half of a 27 Model C? By the way, the secret with sons (if you are in front), is to ride fairly hard, then faff around...

Pushrods for a '48 Twin

Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me the correct diameter of the pushrods to suit a '48 Twin? Apparently, they were unique to that year. Does anyone have a spare set lying around in the shed please? A friend is in need of these to complete his project.
Many thanks.
Regards,

John.
