The factory owner's guide does not ask you to lap in the cylinder head on these models.

When my cork tap sprung a leak with a full tank at the top of the Pass at Applecross I resolved never to use one again and made an adaptor to fit an MZ tap. These old taps are a fire hazard.

Hi, all. I have fitted to my new VH front forks stuff from Paul Goff, the multi-rate springs and also the Dow-type damper rods. The suspension seems to be over stiff and does not give a comfortable ride. Has anyone else used this arrangement? I have only ridden 50 miles so far, can I expect the fork...

Klaus, it's 19 inches. I have sent away for stuff to fix the stand problem. The the ground clearance should be as normal.

Thanks for the interest! Klaus, I have problems with the stands. Because a 53 frame is not designed for a 39 engine, I have to improvise with an exhaust for a plunger frame.The centre stand will not retract fully and scrapes on corners.
