Trailer looks great, could a strong wind close the lid and lock you in ?
Has anyone got any ideas what you could take to bed with you in order to extracate yourself if this happens.

You may have oxidisation on the points due to long duration without use.
Give them a clean and try again.
If there is any moisture present blast it out with WD40
Clean the slip ring with paper towel.
