A big thank you, and some pics
I have just about completed the bike and so we are off to Normandy next week! Hopefully will be very interesting and good fun. I want to thank you all for the help and support along the way. I am very pleased I joined the AOMCC as they have also provided numerous parts and sound advice. I attach som...

Re: Oil leak from oil tank filler cap
Thats a good thought. In fact, it has a wonky thread because when I screw down the cap, it is not running true, and therefore possible not seating correctly on the sealing washer. My concern was that pressure was building in the tank (for a reason I didn't understand)! I am less concerned now about ...

Re: Oil leak from oil tank filler cap
Possible, but its only 1/2 full and did not happen last week on a similar run. I am wondering though whether I did not fully tighten the filler cap.
Does the oil level increase in the tank when running?

Oil leak from oil tank filler cap
Hi All
First time this has happened, after a run, oil running down the outside of the oil tank, escaping from filler cap.
Any ideas anyone please?
Cheers
Steve W

Vokes air filter fitting
Hello w/ng people, I have acquired a vokes air filter for by bike, trouble is I can't see how the connection to the carb can work (without possibly spacing the oil tank off the frame). Has anyone got experience of doing this please? I have seen a few photographs of w/ng's with these fitted, and also...

That is all very interesting, thank you.
So what purpose does the slipping clutch have then please, other than to protect a faulty dynamo?

Re: Possible Magneto problem?
Hi All I have been road testing my W/NG - It didn't go well! The bike ran well for around 7 miles, then it just died. As far as I could tell, it was not a fuel problem, so I duly recovered it to home. It did start the next day. Throughly cleaned the carb but found nothing. So, I took it out yesterda...

Re: CP Gearbox woes...
Well, just goes to show 'you don't know, what you don't know'! I have reassembled as per above instructions, test ride tomorrow morning. It was a struggle getting everything lined up, I think I can add to your angle saxon dictionary Steve. I wrongly referred to my semi fluid grease as oil. My questi...
