Butchering?

I have a WNG frame with this side stand point near the left hand saddle spring.
As I dont want this thing sticking out (and dont need this large side stand at all) I plan to take it off.
Probaly brazed on? with a few pins? would drilling out these pins and heating it up do the trick?

Did you actually looked into the carb inlet when it went revving?
To cancel out a 'misbehaviour' of the slide I would look there first.
Just a thought.................

Single port versus twin port

Hello All, Anybody knows the design philosophy behind the difference in angle (in horizontal) between a iron single port 500 head and a twin port head?
All I know is that a twin port has the better sound (as in noise for some) from it's twin pipes, but that ofcourse is debatable.....

If you manage to get them out with a drift like Pete describes, here's what I did: : Nail the cup onto a piece of flat wood, clamp this lot in a drillingvice. Add all the balls (20) + grinding paste + some light oil. Put cone in it and place this all under the pillar drill (if you have one..) Put a ...

Re: oil leakage timing case / magneto

Hello Jeroen and others, found this on the www. Reed type Positive crankcase ventilation Valve. Valve hooks to engine top breather vent and allows expelled air out but reed prevents air re-entering quickly so a very small vacuum is created in the crankcase. A small power increase has been noted duri...
