Re: ISDT Ariels

If you join an organisation called GLASS, which is the green laning association, they can advise you on legalities.

There used to be an app called ViewRanger which mapped green lanes, but it appears to have been switched off.

Re: Thorspark Electronic Ignition advice.

And would I be able to check for shorting out using a meter testing for continuity i.e. an electrical contact between the armature and ...

Re: Thorspark Electronic Ignition advice.

When I fitted the Thorspark to my square four, I kept blowing fuses. The cause of this was the rear of the alloy plate that carries the hall sensor was arcing on the armature as it spun. I have multiple sets of cases in twin spares stock, but as the bike is a matching numbers bike, I am keen to keep the original cases.

Re: KH Crankcases

Rob sorry to hear of your problem, let it be a warning to us all. Just a suggestion, would it be better to bolt the two half casings together, even maybe with the crank shaft in situ, prior to welding, this would hold the casing much more rigidly to avoid any thermal distortion when welding. Where do your members get the lovely Ariel sweatshirts from? I would love one and I am sure many UK members would also!
