Useful extra info folks; makes me think that the frame & engine could well have left the factory together. Its an old bike, so I am not expecting originality, but at least it seems it may not have just been thrown together from a range of bits.

Thanks Chris, I think you may well be right about the 1951 model year. The bike is too far away for me to inspect personally so I am relying on photos. From some rather poor photos, it appears that the frame no starts with WA which Draganfly info suggests is 1951. The engine no starts with RB follow...

I was asking because I have the chance to buy plunger VB that was 1st registered in late 1950. I kbow little about them. It has standard Lucas headlight and gauges but based on photos I have seen I expected it to have tank top gauges.so I was wondering if it is a bitza.
